Hi, I'm Cat!

they/them, white, 21 years old

I'm a nonbinary Arkansan artist who works with all types of mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, color pencils, charcoal, chalk, graphite, and digital.

I graduated cum laude from University of Central Arkansas with my Bachelor of Arts and minor in Marketing in December 2023. I'm currently freelancing and doing commissions of all kinds!

Artist Statement

You could say each brush stroke or pencil strike contains a bit of me. Some say you can separate the art from the artist, but I really don’t believe that. No matter how simple the subject is, I am there in some way in each of my art works. The idea of creating pieces to make an emotional impact on the viewer is still a goal of mine, but now I’m exploring myself for personal satisfaction.

Before, I was confined to my one or two art classes in high school and was stuck with my color and sketch pencils. Now, with college and the many studio classes that I’ve taken, everything has been turned on its head and marking the next step. My art and personal journey of figuring my identity are tied to one another and ever developing, even so that it could drastically change by the next minute.
